cultivating blood circulation in the body

Good morning! I hope you are well!
Many people suffer from hip, leg and foot pain which can be caused by too little movement in that area. Each muscle pulls blood from the heart as it needs it, while the muscle is in motion. However if the muscle is sedentary the heart has to push blood to the muscle. Being sedentary puts a severe strain on the heart muscle and increases your risk for heart attack, stroke and heart disease.
The easiest way to stimulate circulation is to go for a walk around the neighborhood or around the outside of your house. This will allow an increase in blood flow to your lower body due to the movement. However there is still one issue to discuss in terms of circulation. What movement is the foot getting if it is held inside of a shoe all day long? None.
My solution to this is going on barefoot walks around my house to stimulate circulation in the feet, this is called earthing. I go for a barefoot walk between 4 and 5 a.m. because the air at this time has higher negative ion content which increases the quality of the air. I also take a barefoot walk in the evening. Both of these walks are 20 minutes for me this week. I will increase to 25 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening next week. During this walk try to focus on your breathing, it helps with the uncomfortableness of walking barefoot for the first few times.

There are 200,000 nerve endings in the feet, 100 bones and 30 joints. While walking barefoot your feet are able to move all of these crucial pieces. The variability of terrain when walking on grass is great to get the parts of the foot moving. This stimulates blood flow throughout the entire body. Increased circulation gives you added energy, increased detoxifying power, increased mobility, decreased risk of heart problems and many other wonderful benefits.
When the foot is inside of a shoe or sock for 100% of the time the foot starts to form to the shape of the shoe/sock due to lack of mobility caused by the same terrain each and every single day. Just like in diet, moderation is a key in everything else too, including walking. You should try to walk on different surfaces other than flat concrete (this is unnatural for our DNA). We were equipped to walk on rugged terrain and now that we aren’t doing this, our bodies are trying to send us a message in the form of pain.
We were not designed to wear shoes; we were designed to be barefoot.

Cold water vs. Warm water ( Which is healthier)

Good morning! I hope you are well!!
After working out in the hot weather most people like to enjoy a cold beverage be it water, pop/soda, or alcohol. Do you do this? I did in the past but do not now for a few reasons I will explain.

The temperature of the beverage you are consuming has large impact on the body. If you consume water that is 40 degrees Fahrenheit it takes significantly more energy to process than a water at room temperature. And this is not just for water, it applies to all beverages. Before the body can consume any food or water the substance must be changed to increase efficiency of absorption. For food when you chew 25 times and coat your food with saliva you significantly increase digestion and absorption of nutrients. For a beverage, when the temperature is 40 degrees Fahrenheit, the body must first heat the liquid up to room temperature so that it may be processed and utilized.

Many health experts say to drink icy water to increase fat loss because your body has to warm the water up to room temperature. While I did this in the past I do not any longer. It is bad for your body and hard on the body as well. The ingesting of cold liquids causes the organs to have a decrease in internal temperature. When we have a decrease in temperature, what do we do? We insulate. This biological instinct is embedded deep within us.

After the internal temperature of the organs decrease, the body starts to line the inside of the organs with fat so that the organs may stay warm when coming into contact with cold liquids. So that fat loss tip to drink cold water, well it doesn’t work. Yes you may have fat loss around the waist but it is at the expense of having fat gain within your organs which can be much worse for your health.

Warm or room temperature water has a healing and calming effect on the body. it is great to get the organs working in the morning. Tea is a very popular drink of choice in the Asia and japan. Drinking warm or room temperature water allows your body to run at peak efficiency with no wasted energy or effort to increase the water temperature. Drinking more water has been shown to cause fat loss in many studies due to its cleansing effect.

Healing powers of Turmeric: how I helped a coworker heal

Good afternoon! I hope you are well!

The most amazing thing happened to me this last week! There was a friend of mine at work that had this humongous inflammation on his arm.

Jay (my coworker at Warehouse Tire Inc.) went to the doctor, the doctor was supposed to call a prescription antibiotic in for him. however the doctor forgot to call in the prescription. Jay told me “Dirk, i don’t know what to do”, my response was “I can help you”.  I try to help anyone that works at Warehouse Tire Inc. with their health issues because I have been interested in health for my whole life and this is a great way to put my knowledge to use. I knew that turmeric is a powerful natural inflammatory so I thought we should give it a try.

I had Jay spit on his arm, then I broke open an Organic India turmeric capsule and poured it over the effected are which his saliva was on. This formed a paste. Jay has continued to make the turmeric paste and wrap his arm with a medical wrap every night before bed. This event took place 7 days ago. After four days his arm looked like this:

The healing power of lavender essential oil

Good Morning! I hope you are well!
Every morning before I go to work I drop off my dog to my parents house so that she may play with her mother throughout the day while I am at work. Her name is precious. She is an Alaskan Husky who is just over 3 months old.
I picked her up on 7/21/15 after work and noticed that her left eye was swollen shut. This caused a little bit of alarm inside me. This is because I don’t know much about dogs and I don’t know much about treating illnesses in dogs. But I did have one thought that might work.
When I have tight muscles and tight joints I use lavender oil produced by Eden’s Garden to calm and relax the affected area. So I thought, I should give it a try and maybe it will help precious’s eye. I applied between five and 10 drops each morning and night (I didn’t count how many) for four days. I do not know what was wrong with her eye, but I do know one thing for sure. All the swelling was gone in four days and has not came back yet. It is amazing what essential oils can do.

Lavender oil is associated with a calming effect on the body. It is also used to treat burns, Bug bites, rashes, cuts and other skin irritations. The oil can also help you to wind down easier before going to bed. There are many other uses for lavender but these are the most basic and the common uses i have for the oil.

4 Steps to Combat Stress, Shortness of breath, improve memory and energy in 40 minutes per day

Good afternoon! I hope you are well!

Many people today suffer from shortness of breath(S.O.B.). Yes that’s right shallow breathing. Shortness of breath comes from not being taught how to properly breathe by those in your environment when you were a young child/adult.Breathing deeply has so many wonderful affects on your body. Simply breathing deeper allows you to  relax  the body and mind, lose weight, communicate better, get rid of emotions, have more energy, reduce stress and many more benefits. Any person who suffers from S.O.B. will also suffer from a series of other chronic illnesses which are triggered by the inability to relax. Anxiety, low self confidence, depression, lack of motivation,lack of sex drive, low self esteem, migraines, muscle spasms, aneurisms, and many more illnesses. Some doctors overlook this as an actual medical condition, I don’t. I believe some other medical conditions are caused by first suffering from Shortness of breath There are only a few options:to breath deeply throughout your day, to meditate, to be on a respirator or to be hypnotized. By being mindful of your breath throughout the day;By concentrating on taking more deep breaths each day, you can change your life for the better in a short amount of time.

As you can see the added stress causes holes in the Frontal lobe of the brain. These holes are in the exact spot where logical thought comes from. These logical thoughts are not emotionally charged and are allowed to use the whole of our communication and awareness powers. This can also be referred to as true communication, which is conveying your message without adding emotional stress generated by the listening party. True communication can not be reached when the body is in stressed situation.To combat a stressed situation while communicating take three deep breaths. If you are in situation where your emotions can be dealt with try this.

Transcendental meditation:

1)lay on your back or sitting in a cross legged pose in a calm and quiet place.

2)Focus on letting the earth absorb the energy out of your feet,legs, pelvis, abdomen, chest, back, hands, arms, shoulders, neck and head.

3)Touch your tongue to the roof of your mouth just behind your front teeth and touch your middle fingers to your thumbs. This creates an electrical connection.

4)lie in this position for 20 minutes while breathing deeply in through your nose and out through your mouth.

With just two meditation sessions a day you will feel great relief, feel more energetic, age slower, have better memory retention now and the memory of a 25 year old when you are 50! If you are already 50 don’t worry, this will help your brain recover!

11 steps to clear excess emotional energy through meditation

Communicating a message to a friend without adding your emotions to your message can be very challenging. To keep your emotions out of the conversation is one of the most important keys to mindful communication and can be one of the hardest keys to master. However to complete and use this simple tip you will need to be able to control your emotions.  Emotions can be cleared quite easily if you know the proper steps. This may take multiple sessions to clear all emotion.

Meditating to clear emotions (energy in motion) in the body

1. Find a quiet room or place to go where you won’t be bothered for about 20 minutes
2. Lay on your back
3. Close your eyes
4. Move your tongue to touch the roof of your mouth and the back of your

front teeth
5. Connect your middle finger to your hands on both sides( keep position throughout)
6. Exhale deeply through your mouth

7. Pause
8. Inhale deeply through your nose

9.Pause
10. exhale deeply through your nose
11. repeat this process with little pause in between the exhale & inhale stages
12. Feel your body melting into the ground
13.mentally say “I am so very thankful that all my excess energy is absorbed from my body by the earth”
